Youth and Peace Building

Youth is a part of making reconciliation causes to be peace in the community as Islam has enhanced the teenager to be such in harmony, peaceful, calm, generous, kind and reasonable person who avoids from the matter of violence. Making reconciliation is never giving up and it’s a process which is to be created forever. To make reconciliation should have various view points and sentiments. It’s not belonging to someone’s duty, but we are all as a youth who is responsibility as to be in harmony for peace in other to be happened in our society.

Building reconciliation is when all of teenagers in the community have union which doesn’t take advantage of others, admit other’s reason, race, culture, language, and religion by using appeasement method to solve the problem, but using intellectuality for solving problem. Islam is conciliation and union which Thailand is expecting to be happened now. Peace will happen when the people are alliance, but it doesn’t make people being as the same thought. Moreover, it doesn’t make some group being better than others or does kill another group, since it is better to learn other’s difference in view to build understanding.

Nowadays, we can see that Thai youth has problem as conflict among them just because of different outlook that cause from their parents' teaching which gave the wrong ideas to them. That’s why the violence happens that we can see such in the southernmost, in which conflict problem always happens with the youngsters in the community. Making reconciliation method or building the frame of guard is to set home and Masjid (mosque) as the youth’s gathering centre as well as school is the centre of building harmony in community. In addition, the head of community should start the activities as volunteer developing community activity, sport games or summer youth training camp so that they can join activity together which may cause harmony in the community when they have talked and have built trust each other. The mosque is the place for treating their mind and doing religious performance together, in which the youth can distinguish between goodness and badness. The reflection is they have consciousness to do good deed, refuse wicked deed and realize the responding of the actions.

Therefore, the conception of building peace for youth as above is to let they do activities together such as talking, sharing idea as well as conceive others’ impression. The more they are reasonable person the more problem solved and it may decreases the gap of conflict as well as to be hand in hand in the community.

The youth can live peacefully in community, if everybody help one another and use reason without violent method and the core important is to listen in others’ opinion by avoiding from prejudice.
